The Average of 5 People

“We are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with” - Jim Rohn

If we want to be successful we need to choose carefully.

  1. Choose ‘Yes, and …’ people. Avoid ‘Yes, but …’ people. ‘Yes, and …’ people give you energy!
  2. Choose people who are genuinely pleased for you
  3. Choose people who are smarter than you
  4. Choose people who will help you without required reciprocation
  5. Remember, you are one of the 5!

Question: what would you add?

Each domain in your life (relationships, work, health, finance etc) require their own 5. Your spouse may not be the best person to help you with finances. Your financial adviser may not be a great social friend.
